USA K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa from Thailand
Visa Application Center: US Embassy Bangkok (interview after USCIS approval) · Processing time: Approximately 9 to 14 months end-to-end
The K-1 fiancée visa lets a Thai fiancée enter the United States for the purpose of marrying a US citizen within 90 days of arrival. The US-citizen petitioner first files Form I-129F with USCIS in the United States. After USCIS approval the case transfers to the National Visa Center, then to the US Embassy Bangkok for the K-1 interview. After marriage in the US the Thai spouse files Form I-485 to adjust status. K-1 cannot be used to enter without intent to marry or to bring an already-married spouse; for that case use the IR-1/CR-1 spouse visa instead.
